So here I am! Little old me! I live in Ribble Valley with my Darling Dan and our gorgeous puppy Scamp. I have been singing professionally for nearly 10 years and before that I was training my socks off since I was 10 years old!
I enjoy spending time with Scamp and Dan, going to the theatre, reading fantasy novels, paddling in the sea and sewing! I have even made a fair few costumes in my time and also some props that have featured on both British and Italian television!
I also enjoy driving which is good because I spend so much time in my car sometimes I wonder if I am in fact a professional singer, or a professional driver instead!
I started having singing lessons at the age of 10 and quickly after joined a very successful all girls choir that taught me so much over my eight years with them before I left for university. In my youth I was also part of many musical productions including three performances at the Grove Theatre, Dunstable. I also led a local youth group as a musical director for three shows before studying Performing Arts, Media and Music Performance at Luton Sixth Form College.
I studied a BA Joint (hons) in Musical Theatre Performance and Technical Theatre at the University of Cumbria, and also took Sunday classes at the Emil Dale Academy. During that time I also taught at the local Stagecoach Theatre School before taking my first performance job as a production vocalist for Haven Holidays. Since then I have performed at many holiday resorts including Parkdean Resorts, Holiday Village, Park Holidays and Butlins to name but a few!
In the winter times when I was working seasonally I was lucky enough to perform in two touring Pantomimes, and even work for the big man himself in Lapland, Finland!
I took the plunge into becoming a full time professional cabaret vocalist at the end of 2021 and will never look back! I have managed to write my own Tribute show, develop my normal show, join an ABBA tribute show, a party function trio and even dabbled in magic! I love being my own boss, writing my own shows and performing up and down the country and I cannot wait to see where this year will take me!
Lockdown gave me the opportunity to test if I was cut out for the 'Real World'. It is safe to say, I am not! Four months as an Amazon Delivery Driver(in the winter, 100% do not recommend), 6 months in a restaurant (that I actually really enjoyed) and another nine months in a call centre and I can safely say, that a 'normal' job is not for me!
I know now more than anything that the stage is my home and that is where I spend my life striving to be!
